Tickets are the most frequently used and easily accessible travel titles. The fare for a metropolitan ticket is 5 lei, valid for 75 minutes on any metropolitan line and any line within the Municipality of Sibiu.

Where can the 75-min metropolitan tickets be purchased?

• Tursib Agencies;
• Contactless devices on buses;
• Street ticket machines in stations (except for those on the Green Line, the machine at the Airport Terminal station, and the machines inside Tursib coaches);
• The Tursib portal;
• 24Pay App;
• SibiuBus App;
• Collaborating Partners (in the communes).

If you are in zone 0 and want to purchase a metropolitan ticket from the contactless devices on the buses, press the "Metropolitan" button on the device, then bring the bank card close to it.

For multiple purchases of tickets via bank card from the contactless devices on the bus, press the “+” sign on the device after each purchase.

How are tickets validated?

Tickets must always be validated immediately after boarding the bus.

For QR code tickets, they are scanned at the yellow validators inside the bus. The QR code should be placed at the lower part of the device, and the confirmation message upon successful validation will be: “Have a pleasant journey!”

If your journey involves using two or more bus lines, you must validate your ticket on each bus. The message displayed on the validator screen will be: “Transferred from line x to line y.”

Validating the travel title on the second bus confirms that the user boarded within the 75-minute validity window. Once the ticket is validated on the second vehicle, the passenger can ride until their destination, even if the 75-minute window is exceeded.

For multiple validations of tickets loaded on disposable cards or PVC Tursib cards, press the “+” sign on the yellow validator after each validation.

For tickets loaded on the PVC Tursib card, validation is done simply by tapping the card on the yellow validator inside the bus.

The only QR codes that CANNOT be validated are those purchased through the 24Pay mobile app.

For classic tickets printed on thermal paper, validation is done at the orange validators by inserting the paper ticket, which will print the date and time of validation.

How are tickets inspected?

Ticket inspection is carried out by Tursib traffic inspectors, authorized by the Sibiu City Hall.

For tickets purchased through the SibiuBus or 24Pay mobile apps, inspection is done by scanning the QR code using the inspectors’ control devices or by scanning them at the yellow validators inside the bus.

For tickets purchased using a contactless bank card from the onboard devices, inspection is performed by tapping the same card used for the purchase on the yellow validators or on the inspectors’ control devices.

If tickets are loaded on PVC Tursib cards or disposable Tursib cards, inspection is done in the same two ways, the difference being that the Tursib card is tapped instead of a bank card.

For tickets without QR codes, printed on thermal paper, they must be shown to the traffic inspectors, who will check the printed data.

Make sure you hold a valid travel title and that you validate it correctly to avoid any unpleasant situations.
